Six Degrees of Separation is a play (early 90's) written by John Guare, which ruminates the idea that any two individual are connected by at most five others. This piece is noted to popularize the phrase "six degrees of separation" although the idea of which have been circulating for decades in many forms. John Guare's play was already a success which already created million, maybe billion and also has a film adaptation in 1993. There are upcoming play revivals for this piece this year to be held at the Old Globe Theatre. San Francisco has a theatrical life of its own, albeit far away from the mainstream. The city mostly features independent theaters that thrive on looking for new talent and experimenting with new techniques. Among those theaters that have been providing independent theatre performances is EXIT Theatre, which will mark its 26th year this 2009.
