Valley residents of Roanoke Rapids were given two public hearings held by the city council to review the proposal by Lafayette Gatling to purchase the said property, and give the public a chance to voice out their thoughts and concerns about the future of Roanoke Rapids Theatre
Lafayette Gatling, Northampton County native and Chicago businessman, proposed a lease purchase agreement which will set the price of the theater at $12.5 million with a $1 million discount if he could make all payments in time under the proposed agreement. More details on the link below.
